Sumit has over 28 years experience working within the ICT industry. Sumit's ICT life began as an apprentice engineer with British
Telecom and from there he progressed to computer systems engineer and into ICT management with Honeywell; followed by small
business owner and ICT Consultant in London.
Since 1997 in Australia, Sumit has worked in various ICT consulting positions
and as a part-time TAFE lecturer in ICT. In 2002, Sumit chose to move into the community sector developing a rare skillset of an ICT professional who has an understanding of the not-for-profit sector and in 2003, Sumit successfully setup and established the West Australian branch of Infoxchange Australia, a not-for-profit social enterprise that includes the Green
PC social enterprise. This work enabled him to fully appreciate the constraints that non-profits face as well as the dedicated work that they do in ensuring delivery of services.
Sumit is now firmly established in his work with non-profit community service organisations as well as small business and is committed to
helping them get better business outcomes using ICT.
Sumit sits on the board of three West Australian non-profit community service organisations.
